Obituary Mary Dimitriou (25/3/1931-4/11/2010)

My beloved mother Mary Dimitriou passed away this afternoon going to meet her eternal love ...her husband Christos in Paradise. She was born in Drama, Macedonia the last of five children of Theodore and Chryssoula Sofidiotis. She attended the school and Lyceum in Drama, and during the German occupation she moved with the family to Thessaloniki to escape from Boulgarian oppression. She returned to Drama after the end of Second World War. She met her future husband Christos a Greek Army Lieutenant being yet a school attendant of fabulus beauty. They were married soon after being an ideal couple of youngsters full of energy and life. They moved in all major garisons of Macedonia and Thrace, and even in Cyprus Greek Military ForceShe is survived by her daughter Chryssoula (Soso) and her husband John Arvanitis, and her son Georgios (Georgie)and his wife Pagona (Nona) Stefanopoulou and her grandchildren Dimitris Arvanitis and his wife Carmen, and Maria, Constantina and Christos Dimitriou.
